We built this for our own support desk.
Conexa Remote is not a tool we found a market for. It is the tool our support colleagues needed and did not have. We use it every working day to help the businesses that run on our software.
It started as an internal problem
Our support colleagues spend their day on the phone with shop owners, bakers, restaurant managers and their staff. When something goes wrong with a till, a receipt or a stock count, they need to see the screen. So they needed a way in.
What they had assumed the person on the other end knew their way around a computer. Most of the time, that person does not. They are behind a counter, with customers waiting, being asked to find a menu they have never opened and read out a code that changes every time.
So we set one requirement and built to it: you should not need to be technical to be helped. Install once, get a 9-digit address that does not change, and from then on the whole job is reading out nine digits and clicking Accept. Everything else in the product follows from that one line.
It is the same goal we started with in 2014: software that works whether or not you know anything about IT. Twelve years later, applied to the support call itself.
We have been at this since 2014
POB Soft has been writing business software since 2014. Conexa Remote is the newest thing we have built, not the first.
Thirteen years on the other side of the counter
Mihai Mandu started POB Soft in 2014. Before that he spent thirteen years in distribution, from sales agent to regional supervisor, walking into small and medium businesses every week and watching how they actually worked.
That is where the software came from. Not from a specification — from having seen the problem from the inside first.
What we have built since
- Business management software for retail, hospitality and bakeries, written to Romanian law
- Point of sale, stock, recipes, kitchen display, primary accounting
- Desktop, web, Android and iOS, and mobile terminals
- Over 1,200 businesses use our software
A support tool built by the people answering the phone
Using your own product every day is not a slogan. It shows up in small decisions.
The customer's side is the hard side
The person being helped has no account, nothing to learn and nothing to remember. They read out nine digits and press Accept. Their address does not change, so next time there is nothing to set up again.
Consent is the product, not a checkbox
Nobody gets onto a screen without the customer clicking Accept on a prompt that names the technician. A panel stays visible for the whole session, with an End button that works instantly. We built it that way because we are the ones asking to come in.
One product, not a suite
You buy remote support and you get remote support. No PSA, no RMM, no billing module, and nobody coming back in three months with another one to add.
Three things we will not do
These cost us nothing to write today. They will cost something to keep, which is why they are written down and dated instead of left to good intentions.
No guessing whether you are a business
We will never build automatic commercial-use detection. If something has to be limited, it is limited on something you can count and check yourself, never on a suspicion about your intentions.
No changing the unit of licensing on you
If we ever change how licensing is counted, existing customers stay on the model they signed up for.
No quiet increases at renewal
An existing customer's price does not go up silently when the term rolls over.
The three commitments are written in full, with their dates, on the pricing page.
Built and hosted in Romania
We are in Romania, and so is the infrastructure. Signalling and relay run on Conexa servers here, the session log stays here, and invoices come from a Romanian company you can look up. The details are in the footer of every page and in our terms.
Conexa Remote is part of the Conexa family of business software, made by POB Soft. If you already run Conexa, it is the same people answering.
Try the thing we use ourselves
